DAILY PAPER

Daily Paper’s founders asked us to create their first U.S. flagship — a space that reflects pan-African pride, community, and the brand’s bold identity. We transformed an abandoned Manhattan corner building into a contemporary, Afro-futurist environment, preserving what we could and reinforcing the rest within tight structural and zoning constraints.

A new column grid allowed for a glass second floor and skylight, while the facade — made from over 7,500 recycled soda cans — echoes African beadwork and stands as a powerful sustainability statement. Since opening, the store has gained major press, elevated the brand’s value, and become a distinctive cultural landmark in New York City.
